Delete a Project
Remove a saved preset you no longer need with the ✕ next to it in the sidebar — note that deletion is permanent today.
When a saved preset has outlived its use, you can remove it from your ★ My presets list in a couple of clicks. This keeps the sidebar tidy so the presets you actually reach for stay easy to find.
#Overview
Each saved preset in the sidebar has a small ✕ next to its name. Clicking it deletes that preset from your account. Because presets are synced to the cloud, the deletion applies everywhere you're signed in.
#Before You Begin
You need to be signed in, since presets live with your account. Deleting a preset affects only that preset — your brand settings, the template library, and your other presets are untouched.
#Step-by-Step Instructions
#1. Find the preset
In the left sidebar, open ★ My presets and locate the one you want to remove.
#2. Click the ✕
Click the ✕ next to the preset's name. HeyMotion removes it from your list.
#3. Confirm it's gone
The preset disappears from ★ My presets immediately. The template it was based on is still in the library — you're only removing the saved configuration, not the template itself.
#Important: Deletion Is Permanent
Deleting a preset is permanent. There is no undo and no restore in the shipping app today, so a deleted preset cannot be recovered. Double-check you've selected the right one before you click ✕.
A recycle bin or undo-delete for presets is not currently available.
#Best Practices
If a preset is close to something you'll want again, consider making a copy before you delete — load it, then save it under a new name (see Duplicate a Project) so you keep the parts that are still useful. When you genuinely no longer need a graphic, deleting it keeps your list focused on your active work.
#Common Mistakes
The biggest one is deleting a preset assuming you can get it back — you can't. Treat every ✕ as final. The other is confusing a preset with its template: removing a preset never removes the underlying template, which remains available in the library.
