Override a Brand Setting on One Graphic COMING SOON
There's no per-graphic color or font override yet — here's the honest picture and the workarounds until it ships.
This article covers behavior that isn't fully confirmed in the current product, or a feature that is planned but not yet live. Treat it as provisional.
Sometimes you want one graphic to break from your brand — a different accent for a special clip, say. Here's the honest answer: today there is no per-graphic override. The brand kit is global, and every template re-skins from it. This article explains what that means and how to get the result you want anyway.
#Overview
Colors and fonts come only from your brand tokens. There is no UI to give a single template its own color or font that differs from the brand. Change a token and it changes everywhere — every one of the 104 templates follows the same brand.
That's a deliberate strength most of the time: it's what makes "set once, applies everywhere" work. But it means a true one-off look isn't a click away yet.
Per-graphic brand overrides are planned, not shipped. A future update aims to let you override individual brand settings on a single graphic without touching your global brand. Until then, use the workarounds below. This article is marked draft because the feature isn't live.
#When You'd Want This
- A single clip needs a different accent color for emphasis.
- One graphic in a series should stand out with a contrasting palette.
- You're testing two looks and want to compare them side by side.
#Workaround 1: Change the Brand, Export, Change It Back
Because the brand is global and live, you can temporarily shift it for one export:
- Set up the graphic you want to be different.
- Open the 🎨 Brand panel and change the token (for example, the accent color).
- Export that graphic — see Export an MP4.
- Change the brand token back to your normal value, or use Reset brand to defaults.
The exported MP4 keeps the look it had at export time. Just remember to restore your brand before making your next on-brand clip.
#Workaround 2: Save Presets for Different Looks
If you're signed in, you can save presets. A preset stores the current template plus its content configuration and clip length, so you can capture a specific setup and reload it later.
- Sign in to your account.
- Configure a template the way you want it.
- Use Save as preset and give it a name.
- Reload it any time from My presets in the sidebar.
Presets don't override the global brand on their own, but combined with Workaround 1 they make it faster to jump between configured looks. See Create and Save a Project.
Presets store the template's content configuration and clip length — not a separate per-graphic color or font. Your global brand still drives styling.
#Best Practices
If you frequently need a "special" look, keep a note of both palettes so you can switch cleanly. Do all of one look's clips together, then switch the brand once for the next look — that's less error-prone than flipping back and forth per clip.
#Common Mistakes
The main pitfall is forgetting to restore your brand after a one-off export, which quietly re-skins your next graphics. Always reset the token (or use Reset brand to defaults) when you're done with the exception.
